What happens to a parcel with too low postage stamp?

Hi, I’ve sent several small packets from Uk abroad. 5 of them never arrived. When I was posting them, I was surprised to learn that the postage I paid for some of the parcels was lower than I thought, but didn’t question it, after all the man working there is the expert, not me. When 5 of them didnt arrive, I discovered that the postage was too low due to the man working at my local post office sending my parcels as letters instead of small packets. Does anyone know where I can retrieve my parcels? Is there anything I can do? I learnt that stuff send using Airmail is covered up to £34, but I believe it will take forever to get anything back as their investigation takes about 15 weeks and I worry about the proof of postage he gave me as it only states, lets say that 6 parcels have been sent but where, or what is not there. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

It depends. If they send it Postage Due, where the reciepiant needs to pay the difference, it could be siting on a shelf waiting for the payment. If that is the case, it will be there for 10-14 day and then retuned. If they decide to just return it, then it could take 4-7 days depending where you sent it.

good luck
